"Hear Sutra" is a pleasant chant that frees the soul from anxiety and puts it at perfect ease. Neatly nine years after singing Chinese version of The Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra, a sutra which devotedly recited by so many, Imee Ooi has used Sanskrit in creating this latest version. In the serene, light style of this album, she has interpreted the "Heart Sutra: in two different moods. No matter which one you listen to, through absorbed, concentrated listening and chanting, your heart will naturally reach that ideal place.

She attained a piano degree, taught piano and spontaneously composed and arranged music. In 1996, Imee had been inspired by the album The Great Mercy Mantra, which was very popular in Taiwan then, and she began to create a new genre of new-age music presenting the Sutras and Mantras. Her work has since received rave reviews and overwhelming responses. Imee has published more than 30 Buddhist albums by now, including the internationally acclaimed The Chant of Metta and Om Mani Padme Hum.
