This introduction to the Buddhist Shrine is meaningful and beneficial for all Buddhist practitioners. Lama Kathy Wesley first points out and explains the representations of the Buddha, Dharma and sangha on the shrine as well as the Mandala offering of Body Speech and Mind. She then identifies the symbolic and purification meaning for each of the eight shrine offerings. Finally, she provides instructions for setting, purifying, and blessing offering water bowls in the morning and taking them down at night.
