My name is Lopon Natsok Zugchen, and I am a lineage holder of the Tantra in Nyingma sect. This small book Love Which Crossed the Ocean of Clouds is a true love story between me and my wife, Monza Tsewang Rigzin Chokey Wangmo. All of the stories written here depict real incidents and do not contain imagination or fictional elements. The way I wrote this love story starts from the day we met in June 2010. I felt compelled to jot down notes of important events happening in our daily lives. When I came back to my home after meeting her in Bhutan, I composed an account based on these diary notes. At that time, I wrote it simply from my memory. I didn't have any plans to write a book and publish it. Later, I posted the account for the Lunyon literature competition and I took first place out of fifty writers from inside Tibet and in exile. After that, my love and I faced many obstacles and it took five years before we could live together. She always told me to keep writing and to translate our story into English. The account I had written before was completed as the first chapter of this book and I continued to write. As a writer, I hope this book will benefit readers.
