Born in India in 1962, sakyong Mipham Rinpocheis the spiritual and family successor of his father, Vidyadhara the Venerable Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. He is the living holder of the Shambhala Buddhist tradition, a lineage that descends throuhj hid fathe's family, the Mukpo clan. This tradtion emphasizes the basic goodness of all beings and teaches the art of caourageous warriorship based on wisdom and compassion. The Sakyong is an incarnation of Mipham Jamyang Gyamtso (1846-1912), one of the most reverend meditation masters and scholars of Tibat.
