A Warm Heart and Open Mind is the ripening of basic human values inherent in everyone. The promotion and development of these values of love, compassion, tolerance, forgiveness, self-discipline and contentment are key not only to having a happier and healthier life for oneself but in creating a more harmonious, peaceful and compassionate society. As our modern society matures people are beginning to realize that material comforts alone cannot bring true happiness, peace and a meaningful life. We come to feel something more is required to satisfy our needs and aspirations and to overcome life's problems and difficulties. So here, in these discussions His Holiness encourages us to promote, increase and strengthen our basic good qualities through using our intelligence, the fields of education and the family environment; "When the brain and a warm heart go side-by-side, then all our ability becomes constructive."
As the embodiment of these principles and truths His Holiness is able and applicable to our daily lives.
